2012 Honda Gold Wing GL1800 Audio Comfort Navigation XM ABS - Press Release

Honda Gold Wing: A Legend In Its Own Time
It's a beloved motorcycle that has earned many titles, awards and nicknames over the decades: icon, legend, superstar, best-in-class, the definitive yardstick among touring motorcycles-and so much more. Year in and year out, such acclaim flows freely and rightly so; for more than 35 seasons, the Honda Gold Wing® first defined, then re-defined over and over again just how much performance and comfort a motorcycle can deliver to two people, whether the plan is a weekend ride or a cross-country adventure. Three-and-a-half decades represents an eternity for most motorized products, yet as the Gold Wing enters its 36th year of production, it not only continues to lead all would-be challengers, it also continues to evolve. And so we see that the 2012 Gold Wing once again establishes a new and higher standard for what the good life should truly be at the cutting edge of long-distance two-wheeled motoring.

When initially released to the public in 1975, the first Gold Wing literally dazzled the motorcycling press and consumers alike. Never before had the two-wheeled realm witnessed anything like this machine, one that simultaneously wielded world-class power and incredible cross-country capabilities. In short, the 999cc Gold Wing immediately carved out an ├╝ber-achiever niche all to itself, and to this day no other name offers such a complete and well-balanced blend of motorcycle touring qualities. As decade after decade rolled along, the Honda Gold Wing maintained its supremacy by not remaining static; growth and change have been constant by every criteria, be it displacement, number of cylinders, chassis configuration, power, handling, comfort or innovation.

Such top-dog status has been repeatedly confirmed upon the Honda Gold Wing by the most rigorous of all critics: the buying public. And the statistics don't lie; having produced a total of more than 640,000 units over its lifespan, the Gold Wing outstrips all would-be competitors by such a wide margin it literally forms a class of one.

The first group of horizontally opposed four-cylinder Gold Wing engines steadily grew from 999cc to 1182cc over a dozen years' time, and upon its 1988 debut, the 1520cc Gold Wing introduced the then-radical notion of a six-cylinder engine for a touring motorcycle. That powerplant configuration carried over into 2000, when the next-generation six-cylinder Gold Wing grew in displacement to 1832cc to gain a remarkable increase in performance throughout the powerband. Better yet, it also took on a dramatically new athletic nature with regard to handling, thanks in large part to its sportbike-like box-section aluminum frame. To this day, the 1800 delivers impressive performance when it's put to the spurs-more than enough to astonish riders who have never experienced its capabilities first hand. Those in the know understand such capabilities fully, since the 1800 Gold Wing design team was headed up by a long-time Honda sportbike engineer who is also an avid sport-riding enthusiast.

Having eclipsed the realm of long-range mounts in terms of out-and-out performance, the Gold Wing also extends the horizons of comfort and amenities for rider and passenger alike. And because it's a Honda, the 2012 Gold Wing incorporates innovative features that break new ground in the world of two wheels by offering an unparalleled level of technical sophistication.

In short, when you mount up a Gold Wing, you're riding a living legend-and reaping all the attendant rewards.

Need a Florida Motorcycle Accident Lawyer and looking for an ethical, experienced and aggressive lawyer to figure out if you may be entitled to money compensation for your serious injury?

In Florida, motorcycle accidents happen mostly because automobile drivers do not share the road. I frequently represent seriously injured motorcycle riders because a car fails to see the motorcycle and then the car pulls out into the intersection. Another common reason is that the car driver changes lanes without looking. The most frequent injuries are fractures of shoulder or wrists from going over the handlebars, or femur (long bone of the leg) fractures from laying the bike down or a side impact. Unfortunately, even at slower speeds and with a helmet, I have represented the family of fathers and sons who have died in motorcycle crashes.

As a Florida Motorcycle accident lawyer, I understand that you may want to express you individuality and freedom on the road by making the decision as an adult not to wear a helmet. The insurance company in a brain injury case will argue that you are the cause of your own injury being worse because if you were wearing a helmet the injury would not have been so bad.

I retain experts in biomechanics, who are engineers and if the evidence is available and in your favor, they can calculate the force of the impact and tell the insurance company that they are wrong. That wearing a helmet would not have made a difference. A helmet sometimes can actually make the injury worse. I am not advocating that you should not wear a helmet , it's just that wearing one does not always make a difference. It depends on the accident circumstances. Each Florida Motorcycle Accident claim will get my personal attention to detail and my 30 years of experience.

If you would like to consult for free with a Florida civil trial lawyer who is board certified as an expert in civil trial then please call 888-446-1999

There will be no charge for lawyer fees of representation or costs of representation if there is not money compensation recovery.

The bike that Redefined the Open Class.
Long regarded as the bike of choice in the big-bore motocross division, the 2011 CRF450R incorporates improvements that will help this bike retain its premier standing. The prodigious powerband is now even stronger thanks to more low-end pull and midrange grunt along with enhanced throttle response via a new throttle body. Revised suspension linkage and settings yield improved control, increased ride plushness and enhanced rear-wheel traction. A new Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) produces even better tracking traits than before, and a new muffler meets the 94-decibel sound level required by some racing organizations in 2011. All this and more make the 2011 CRF450R a shoo-in to maintain its dominant role among open-class MX bikes.

Motocross is a battle, and you’d better bring your “A” game whenever you show up—either that, or be prepared to eat a bucketful of roost. But when you’re on a 2011 Honda CRF450R it’s everyone behind you who’ll be savoring that dirt-flavored banquet. Why? Because we’ve given the CRF450R some serious upgrades.

First, the 450 gets a new throttle body, new fuel injector, and new ECU mapping so the engine makes more low end and midrange torque, and also offers even better throttle response. The power is easier to control, but without any loss of top end—better than ever for intermediate and expert riders alike. And our chassis designers were just as busy, updating the CRF450R subframe and taking the opportunity to fine-tune the subframe's stiffness. A new rear shock link and lower shock mount for improved front/rear balance and better suspension action especially over square-edged bumps.

And finally, new 2011 AMA rules state that every MX bike will have to meet the new 94 decibel rule. Both our CRF450R and CRF250R do that easily, thanks to a new exhaust system that works in conjunction with the new FI settings. So while the other guys might just change a muffler, that’s just where we started. And the first time the gate drops, it’s gonna show.

How bad do you want to win in 2011?
The 2011 CRF450R is upping the ante in the open class. First, its revised fuel injection system lets it deliver the kind of predictable power you need with an engine this strong, while the new throttle body and ECU mapping fatten up the midrange and bottom end, making the CRF450R easier to ride. New suspension settings along with the new bottom link give you a more plush ride and a more controlled feeling, while the revolutionary HPSD (Honda Progressive Steering Damper) continues to give you the most responsive and best handling bike on the track—you’ll own the turns, and that’s where races are won.

How you can make the world’s best MX bike even better.
The HRC Fuel-Injection Setting Tool lets you fine-tune your CRF450R's fuel injection for specific track conditions. Just click on the link below, and you'll get all the information you need.

A Winning Program.
Programmed Fuel Injection optimizes fuel/air delivery to seamless perfection, and with new-for-2011 ECU programming, the CRF450R’s performance is more responsive and more potent than ever.

More Control. Less Effort.
Developed by our factory racing team, the Honda Progressive Steering Damper is lightweight, compact and enhances cornering ability while reducing rider fatigue.

2011 Honda CRF450R Features

New for 2011
•Revised engine tuning and new 46mm throttle body increase low-end and midrange power and give improved throttle response.
•Front fork features a lighter cartridge cylinder and all-new valving for improved control and increased ride plushness.
•Revised shock valving yields improved control and increased rear wheel traction.
•New suspension linkage produces improved chassis balance and increased rear wheel traction in rough-track conditions.
•Honda Progressive Steering Damper (HPSD) features larger piston diameter (20mm to 24mm) for improved tracking traits.
•Redesigned muffler lowers sound emissions to 94 dB.

Features
Rear Suspension - The rear suspension gets a new linkage to help give the CRF450R better handling and tracking, and a more balanced suspension performance. The fully adjustable Pro-Link® rear suspension sports an exclusive KYB® integrated reservoir, and a large 50mm rear shock damper for improved suspension action under the toughest riding conditions.

Batteryless Fuel Injection - The CRF450R was our first MX bike with fuel injection, and it's always been the standard in the class. For 2011 we've made it even better, by giving it a new throttle body and new ECU programming for crisper throttle control and even easier starting.

Lightweight Aluminum Frame - The CRF450R's race-inspired twin-spar aluminum frame revolutionized MX chassis tech when it first appeared in 1997 on the radical CR250R and has continued to do so every year since. Our latest frame boasts optimized torsional and lateral rigidity with minimized weight and maximum durability, ensuring razor-sharp handling performance. The updated subframe for 2011 takes the concept even further.

449cc Unicam® Engine
Works-Style Brakes - Honda's MX bikes have always had great brakes on the track, and the 2011 CRF450R continues that tradition. Discs front and rear with factory-spec master cylinders help haul you down fast, so you can outbrake the other guy into the turns.

Front Suspension - Kayaba front suspension features a sophisticated inverted Air-Oil Separated (AOS) system with an exclusive Honda 48mm-diameter fork, adjustability for rebound and compression damping, and 12.2" of travel. New-for-2011 settings match it up to the new rear suspension.

Honda Progressive Steering Damper - We've taken the revolutionary HPSD and made it even better for 2011 by giving it a bigger 24mm piston. You get more damping when you need it, but the HPSD operation is still completely transparent when you don't.

94 dB Exhaust System - The CRF450R's new silencer teams with the bike's revised fuel-injection throttle body and injector to help fatten up the low- and midrange.
